Welcome to the ACT Indigenous Body (IEB)

This representative body was established to enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the ACT to have a strong democratically elected voice.

It was established under the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body ACT 2008. It consists of seven people representing the interests and aspirations of the local Indigenous community.

It provides direct advice to the ACT Government with the ambition of improving the lives of Indigenous Canberrans, a step towards true reconciliation.
